Widespread rainfall in Himachal

Shimla: The Met office forecast heavy to very heavy rainfall at isolated places and widespread rainfall at many places in Himachal Pradesh during the next 48 hours.

Manmohan Singh, state director of Indian Metrological department, said today that the monsoon would remain vigorously active in the next two days. It also lashed many parts of state during the last 24 hours.

Kumarsen in Shimla registered highest 85mm rain in the state today, followed by Mandi town having 55.4 mm rainfall, Gohar of Mandi district 39 mm, Baldwara 37 mm, Karsog 25 mm and Jogindernagar 20 mm.
