Ever police station to have at least 3 women constables: Dhumal

Rekong Peo: Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal today said that the state government would ensure deployment of at least three female constables in every police station of the state. He said that an Independent Women Police Battalion was also being raised in the state. He said that the process to recruit 4.500 constables in different battalion was at different stages of completion.

He also claimed that recruitment process for 18,000 teachers was in progress and the target would be achieved within the stipulated time. He said that Himachal Pradesh had been placed at the top in teacher-student ratio in the country for having one teacher for every 30 students. He was addressing a public meeting at Gyabung in the inner part of district Kinnaur today after dedicating a bridge over Sunnam Nallah completed at a cost of Rs. 72.56 lakh.
