Hotels challaned in Dalhousie

Dalhousie: Acting against hotels and guest houses running without valid license, the Himachal Pradesh Tourism Department on Saturday imposed a fine of around Rs 73 lakh on 18 such establishments in Dalhousie. They were penalised for flouting provisions of Himachal Pradesh Tourism Development and Registration Act, 2002. District tourism development officer Kishori Lal said surprise raids were conducted to ensure that tourists were not fleeced.
