Dharamsala: Ten years after a property belonging to Dera Sacha Sauda at Chachian in Palampur was declared benami by Kangra DC, the decision has now been upheld by the divisional commissioner, who ruled that the land was bought in contravention of Section 118 of HP Land Reforms and Tenancy Act, 1972. The dera is in possession of over 200 kanals, valued in crores, where huge satsangs are held on a regular basis.

It may be mentioned that the state government had moved a bill for amending Section 118 of HP Land Reforms and Tenancy Act during the recent Vidhan Sabha session, but the government was forced to sent it for review by a select committee due to opposition from Congress party and also civil society organizations. Activists have been claiming that diluting Section 18 would deprive Himachalis of their own land and would make them more vulnerable to exploitation.

  1. Don't worry nothing will happen. who knows what is the wish of god behind this, but whatever is god wish, its for sure that nothing wrong will happen as never happened before. God keeps taking exams of their childs but never hurt them. But what to say when god is taking exam of himself then its damn sure that its surely and purely happening under his wish. So don't worry at all sooner or later everything will be allright.
