HP cabinet lifts ban on transfers

Shimla: Himachal Pradesh cabinet in its meeting held here today decided to lift ban on general transfers in all the categories of employees and officers in all departments from April 16, 2010 to May 31, 2010.

Proposals/applications of intending employees will be received by the concerned heads of the departments between April 16 to May 5, 2010, which will be processed by authorities between May 6 to May 20, 2010, and final transfer order issued between May 21 to May 31, 2010. The ban on general transfers will be re-imposed from June 1, 2010, whereafter no transfer or adjustments requests will be entertained. The minister incharge of their respective departments will be competent to order transfers of their employees from Class I down to Class IV level. All the heads of the departments will adhere to the outer limit of transfer of their employees, which will not exceed six per cent of the total existing strength of concerned department.
