Himachal student to act Indian PM at G8/G20 Youth Leadership Summit

Solan: Himachal’s young student Bhanu Joshi has been selected as a delegate for the forthcoming G8/G20 Youth Leadership Summit that is scheduled to be held at Vancouver, Canada. from 9th May to 15th May, 2010. Joshi would be playing Indian Prime Minister’s role, which is the highest post in the delegation.

Joshi had previously represented the nation in G8 Youth Summit held at Milan in Italy. He was awarded with “Emerging Leader” Award in this summit. He is also the winner of UNICEF-PII Young Journalist Students Award. Presently a Delhi University’s journalism student, Joshi told HimVani that he was born in Shimla and educated at St. Edwards School. He informed that he has written three papers on education, health, police reforms and administrative reform and has been involved in policy matter discussions. He said he is proud of his selection in the international-level delegation and wished to represent Himachal on the international platform.

Bhanu’s father DB Joshi is a teacher at the Central School for Tibetans and mother Savitri Joshi is working as a section Officer in the HP secretariat.
