Two pilgrims die, 30 wounded in head-on collision

Una: Two pilgrims died while 30 others were injured when a jeep collided with a truck coming from the opposite side at Dhaluwal area near Haroli in Una this afternoon, senior police officer said. SP Una Santosh Patiyal said a truck carrying 32 people from Navashair to Shatali collided with a jeep carrying 20 pilgrims on its way to Vaishanu Devi from Una, killing two persons sitting in the jeep. One died on the spot while the other succumbed to injuries on way to hospital. Three critically wounded persons have been referred to PGI Chandigarh. Chief Minister who was also on Una tour today expressed grief over the accident.
