Heavy snowfall in higher reaches of Himachal

Shimla: Upper areas of Himachal Pradesh remained cut off with rest of the country following moderate to heavy snowfall in higher areas of the state, disrupting normal life during the past 24 hours. Inclement weather conditions prevailing in the state for the last three day, remained unchanged even today as heavy spell of snowfall continue in many parts of upper districts of Lahaul Spiti, Kinnuar, Mandi and Kullu ,Chamba and Shimla district and intermittent rain or thunder showers were lashed in lower parts of the state, according to reports received here.

  2. Manali is reported mild snowfall in the town but its communication with rest of the country remained suspended throughout day. The Police report said in the evening that road communication has been made functional via Nagar and blocked at Patlikhul area did not cleared till evening. Shimla received 5 cm sleet or snow in evening which distruptted its power supply for many hours. But the vehicular traffic is normally plying in the town.

    Selected bus services are being allowed to operate on long route.The weather likely to relieved the people tomorrow .
