Eight candidates in fray after withdrawal

Shimla: Himachal Pradesh Chief Electoral Officer Anil Kumar Khach today informed that after withdrawal of three candidatures, eight candidates are now in the fray for by-election in the two Assembly constituencies of the state. Shurveer Singh (Rashtrawadi Sena) and Mathu Ram Bushehari (independent) who filed their nominations from Rohru withdrew their nominations today.
After withdrawal, the contesting candidates are as under:
Khushi Ram (Bharatiya Janata Party), Manjit Singh (Indian National Congress), Kewal Ram Negi (Independent) and Bihari Lal (independent) in Rohru Assembly constituency. Baldev Raj (Bharatiya Janata Party), Sujan Singh Pathania (Indian National Congress), Shri Ashok Kumar Somal (independent), Madan Sharma (independent) in Jawali Assembly Constituency.
