Dhumal calls young IT professionals to lead in e-revolution

Solan: Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal delivering his address at the 3rd Annual Convocation of Jaypee University of Information Technology gave a clarion call to young IT professionals to become partner in bringing about e-revolution in the state and sought collaboration from prestigious educational institutions in implementation of various projects coming up. He offered execution of various activities as well as projects to such institutions of par excellence, and senior students to avail opportunity to gain practical experience and hoped that such endeavours would go a long way especially in implementation of projects owned by state government as also explore students to real time project.

The Chief Minister said that the state government was firmly implementing e-governance as a means for performing its functions, with a view to provide better quality of services to the people of the State. He said that Rs. 100 crore worth of e-governance projects were under implementation in the state and a 64 acre IT Park had been approved at Waknaghat and Bio-Technology Park was likely to come up in the near future where young professionals would be motivated to become partner.
Earlier, Governor Prabha Rau stressed upon the need for inculcating moral values besides the spirit of goodness and discipline.
