Shimla: Disposing off an application by a PTA teacher, the Himachal Pradesh High Court has made it clear that no such teacher could be removed by the state government on the basis of an order that did not exist at the time the interviews were carried out for appointment of these teachers. This would mean that the Ordinance passed by the government on May 27, 2008, would not be applicable retrospectively. The application was filed by one Revinder Singh, who was appointed as a PTA teacher on September 20, 2008. The committee formed by the government to look for irregular appointments had recommended his dismissal on July 30, 2009.
