Now Regional Adventure Club to promote village tourism

Manali: Himachal Pradesh state government’s much-hyped village tourism initiative is yet to show any noticeable results, but that has not deterred the lone Regional Adventure Centre here to try its luck in promoting tourism in the state. The Centre is ready with its plan to involve around 6,000 village clubs in promoting tourism in the respective villages.
The Centre has already started the process of identifying culturally rich villages that can be of interest to tourists coming from other states. Commandant of the Manali Regional Adventure Club Col Lal Singh said that under the proposal, each village would have a guest house to accomodate tourists. The centre is also coming up with a website to showcase all villages where these guest houses would be located. The tourists would be able to make online bookings to stay in these villages.
