Kullu: Crisis in the airlines industry may cast its shadow on tourism industry in Himachal Pradesh as Air India has decided to suspend its lone flight to Kullu from November 22, eight months after it was launched. The move has invited immediate reaction from people related with tourism in the valley, who have now urged the chief minister to intervene.
While the airlines clarified that the flights were temporarily being withdrawn from this sector due to less passenger load, travel agents claimed that there was enough tourist flow opting for air travel. It may also be remembered that on March 19 this year when the new terminal building was inaugurated at Bhuntar, Union civil aviation minister Praful Patel had assured to increase the flights to seven days a week.

VOLVO is the best way to travel to Manali. Curiously, HPTDC still doesn’t own VOLVOs!! It is the HRTC which is maintaining the fleet.
