Billing: Ajay Sharma of Kullu on Sunday heralded a new chapter in the history of paragliding sport in India by becoming the first Indian to win a task in the Himalayan Paragliding Pre-World Cup-08 here. Ajay completed the 57.4 kilometers task in the overall category on the third day of the tournament by winning 996 points. He now also leads in the Indian category. In the overall category Germany’s Andres Malandski has emerged the leader with 1865 points. Ajay’s achievement can go a log way in encouraging paragliders from Himachal to compete at bigger level.
