Shimla: As per unconfirmed reports, Subhash Ahluwalia, former Principal Private Secretary of previous Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh was reportedly arrested by Himachal Vigilence Bureau today. Ahluwalia is under probe for allegations of disproportionate assets and his wife Meera for her reported travels to USA and Bangkok on sponsored trips without seeking permission of the government. As per the rules, being a government employee she was supposed to seek prior permission of the state government before going on a foreign travel. The VB is also looking into another set of allegations against Meera Ahluwalia as per which she also acts as a dealer for various commercial products.

Meera Ahluwalia was former principal of Rajkiya Kanya Mahavidyala in Shimla and was recently transferred from here. Earlier, immediately after change of power in the state Subhash, an IAS officer was transferred, as settlement officer, Kangra.
