PTA teachers threaten to gherao assembly on April 9

Shimla: The government decision to review the appointment of teachers made by parent-teachers associations, the affected teachers have now threatened to gherao the assembly on April 9. President of Teachers and Principals’ Assocoation Association Vivek Mehta today said, “The state education minister had placed the Sanan Committee report on the table of the House and there had also been a discussion on it. But one could only imagine the facts of the report when the committee and the education department did not have the exact figure of the PTA teachers that had been appointed in the state.”
Mehta said that when neither the department nor the committee that submitted the report could muster the exact number of PTA teachers in the state, how could it probe into the appointments that had been made by the Parent Teachers Association in the far-flung areas of the state.
