Tibetans continue their march

Dharamsala: Despite being warned by the district police, about hundred Tibetan refugees continued their march in a bid to enter Tibet to protest against what they call China’s illegal occupation of the country. The march had started on Monday and On Wednesday they reached Dehra, a border town in Kangra district. The police had earlier warned them not to leave the district.
Five Tibetan NGOs – Tibetan Youth Congress (TYC), Tibetan Women’s Association, Gu-Chu-Sum Movement of Tibet, National Democratic Party of Tibet and Students for a Free Tibet, India (SFT). Kangra SSP had earlier said that the order not the step out of the district’s jurisdiction was issued to the marchers on the central government’s directive.
SFT director Tenzin Choeying is reported to have said they would continue the peaceful protest march, which was for a just cause. He said the Indian government and people should also support them. TYC president Tsewang Rigzin said their aim was to highlight the “grim situation prevailing in Tibet.
