Govt for geographic, emotional integration of state: Dhumal

Dharamsala: Replying to the motion of thanks on the Governor’s address to the assembly, Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal on Saturday said his government stood for geographical and emotional integration of the state.
He said the recruitment process for various jobs in the government sector would be simplified, as the expenditure involved in applying for jobs would be cut. The CM said his government had immediately ordered reinstatement of employees who had been allegedly victimized by the previous regime, while the daily wages were also increased from Rs 75 to Rs 100.
He said his government would not indulge in witch-hunting against any individual, but those found guilty in wrongdoing would not be speared. He lambasted the previous Congress regime for being in undue hurry to upgrade the educational institutions without budgetary provisions
The CM said that 50% appointments of teachers would be made batch-wise while the remaining 50% would be done on the basis of merit. He said that cadre of trained graduate teachers (TGTs) and school lecturers would be elevated to state level.
