What can be really done to prevent such pointless deaths?
May I request moderators to provide trendlines of such fatalities with cleara segmentation such as accidents due to rash driving, due poor roads, poor maintenance et al. ?
Temp trax (the passanger small vehicle) and Mahindra Bollero
(goods pickup van) are the deadliest of vehicles on rural roads. These vehicles are mainly involved in road accidents. One main reason is that the drivers of these vehicles are untrained and most of them do not posses proper driving licence. The driver training is imparted on village roads by other drivers and once the learner is through with the basics he grabs the hot seat leaving other traffic at his mercy. In Shimla rural area these drivers are a nucance on road. They drive rashly and follow the age old Indian traffic rule of size and speed matters.
With no proper checking mechanism on rural roads these drivers are playing with the safety of commuters and other drivers on road.
