Shimla: Releasing their second list of 30 candidates for the forthcoming Assembly elections in Himachal Pradesh, the Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) talked about making employment a fundamental right. Party general secretary Subhash Sharma said that LJP would encourage a ‘chips factory’ to be set up in the state in the private sector so that potato producers of the state could get remunerative price for their crop. He also promised insurance scheme for apple growers.
LJP has decided to contest all 65 seats, and have already declared names of 16 candidates besides those declared on Wednesday. The remaining candidates will be released soon at Nahan. Talking to media persons, Subhash Sharma said that the highlight of the candidates being fielded by the party was that 98 per cent of them were youth.
