Shimla: The Election Commission of India on Friday asked Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh to bear the cost of using a state chopper during their visit to the Commission on October 5.
“The state government should not defray the expenditure nor should meet the said expenditure from departmental funds, but recover the same from the user for using the state helicopter in violation of model code of conduct,” the EC said in a communication to the state chief secretary.
