BJP unanimous on Bharmaur, Lahaul & Spiti candidates

Shimla: Proving their preparedness for the forthcoming Vidhan Sabha elections in Himachal Pradesh, Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) state unit has decided two of its candidates for the three constituencies that are to go for polls on November 14. BJP’s state election committee on Monday forwarded the names of Tulsi Ram and Ram Lal Markandya to the party’s national parliamentary committee in New Delhi as candidates for the Bharmaur and Lahaul Spiti constituencies, respectively. For the Kinnaur seat, Tejwant Negi and Chetram Thakur have been recommended. The official announcement of the three candidates is expected to be made in a day or two. Candidates for the remaining 65 seats are expected to be decided by the third week of November.
Held under the chairmanship of state BJP head Jairam Thakur, the meeting was attended by Shanta Kumar, Prem Kumar Dhumal, Satpal Jain, JP Nadda, Maheshwar Singh, Dulo Ram, Suresh Bharadwaj, Mahinder Panday and Ishwar Singh among others.
