Himachal invites T20 heroes for a free stay for a week

Shimla: Himachal Pradesh government has invited the Indian team and its management that won the Twenty20 World Cup to Himachal and stay for week for free in any of the Himachal Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation (HPTDC) hotels in the state.

Congratulating the Indian team, lead by Mahendra Singh Dhoni, Himachal Chief Minister, Virbhadra Singh said that the team had brought laurels to the nation and “the players had exhibited the true sportsman spirit and played in close coordination to win the First World Cup, which had created a history in the sports world.”

The Chief Minister sent the congratulatory message to the Board Cricket Control of India (BCCI) President, Sharad Pawar, on behalf of the people of Himachal.

He said that the state government would be happy to welcome the team and management to the state and avail its hospitality. He said that the famous Hotel Chail Palace, an unit of HPTDC at Chail, about 45 km from Shimla or any other resort of the corporation would be pleased to have the winning team as its honourable guests.
