Shimla: The English Department of Himachal Pradesh University held a freshers party at Panchayat Bhavan here on Friday. True to its name – Fantabulous – the get-together was truly fantastic and fabulous as usual. Perhaps the most talked about annual party arranged by students in the state, Fantabulous is unique in the sense that even teachers from the department show equal involvement in the event.
The party began with a formal introduction by juniors, which was followed by many interesting games like giving compliments to teachers, dedicating songs to teachers and general questions.
Miss Ritu was chosen as Miss Intelligent while Miss Ankita became Miss
Well-dressed. The most exciting session of course was the rocking
`JamSession’, and teachers on the dance floor proved that that they can give their students some lessons here too. The event ended with the ‘souvenir ceremony’. But that was not the end of enthusiasm as students insisted on spending some more time there. So what followed were songs in which the juniors dedicated there feelings towards their seniors and in return seniors also dedicated their blessing for
the juniors.
