Dharamsala: Himachal Pradesh School Education Board has decided not to allow JBT students to write their examinations in English, which means that students would have to write their answer sheets in Hindi alone. Around 2,000 students are enrolled in DIET centres spread across the state, and out of these at least 20% had chosen English as the medium of instruction. Sources in the Board revealed that the decision has been taken keeping in view the difficulty faced while checking answer sheets of English medium students. Officials however failed to disclose what these difficulties were.
