Shimla: About 50 people have reportedly been washed away in a flash flood caused due to cloudburst at Ghanvi village in Shimla district on Tuesday evening. Though the exact number of missing people could not be confirmed, the death toll could be more. Eyewitnesses said about 30 houses have been washed away including a school building and a dispensary. Futher details about the incident could not be confirmed. The death toll due to heavy rains in the state has risen to about 80. As per a rough estimate of the government, the state has suffered loss worth Rs 1,000 crore due to rains.
