Dharamsala: After the CD incident putting the Virbhadra Singh led Congress in embarrassment, now a sting operation carried out by a TV channel is set to rock the political establishment in Himachal Pradesh. Star News on Saturday night carried a startling report showing state tourism minister G S Bali in company of some Delhi-based call girls at his birthday bash at a hotel near Dharamsala on July 27. Following the report, Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh is believed to have asked Bali to submit his resignation. Talking to the TV correspondent, Bali denied having committed any immoral act at the party saying that it was a family party, but said he would be quitting the council of ministers on Sunday.
On the other hand, people in Kangra valley complained of cable connections going off on Saturday night. However, the chief minister denied that cable or power connections were disconnected in Dharamsala, Kangra and other regions of the district.
It may be remembered that elections to the state Assembly are to be held in the next six months.
