Old-age homes to be merged with homes for special kids

HimVani

Shimla: Himachal Pradesh government has decided to merge old-age homes with destitute homes for disabled kids. For the time being two old-age homes being run by the social welfare department at Tissa in Chamba and Baijnath in Kangra will be shifted to the school for disabled children in Dharamsala. Soon, all old-age homes may be merged with destitute homes for disabled at the district level.

As per sources, the government has been forced to take this step following drop in grants being received from the Union government for homes for special children.

Isn’t it unjust to do so?
Maybe govt should have raised funds by some means.
