New Delhi: A survey conducted by Hindi business channel CNBC Awaaz has adjudged Shimla, the capital of Himachal Pradesh as the best travel destination of the country, for the year 2006-07.
The survey was done by research firm AC Nielsen on behalf of CNBC-TV18 news network.
The city was also adjudged as the “best travel destination in health and rejuvenation” and the “best travel destination fo adventure sports”.
State tourism minister G S Bali received the award from his central counterpart Ambika Soni at a function organised here.
