HP govt negotiates loan with World Bank

Shimla: Himachal Pradesh government officials today World Bank officials to discuss a developmental loan that the state has been trying to secure for restructuring it debt burden. Additional chief secretary Parminder Mathur presided over the meeting.
The World Bank team is here to negotiate a loan for supporting reforms in areas like fiscal sustainability, development of key sectors like hydro-power, tourism, governance and environmentally sustainable development, a government spokesman stated. The executive of the World Bank made a presentation about the ‘first development policy loan’ and did a pre-appraisal mission about the loan sought.
