New Delhi: After Anuj Sharma brought laurels to Himachal Pradesh by reaching the top three in the famous reality show Indian Idol on Sony, it’s turn for another Himachali lad, Arvind Dhadwal to try out his luck in Star Plus’ Voice of India.

Dhadwal hails from Nagrota Bagwaan. The show, which goes on air on May 18 (Fri-Sat, 10 PM, IST) will be hosted by renowned singer Shaan.

Dhadwal is one of the eight selected in an audition conducted here for about twenty thousand competitors from Himachal, Haryana, Delhi, Jammu and Punjab. The audition was judged upon by musician duo Jatin-Lalit, musician Adesh Srivastav, singers Alka Yagnik and Abijeet.

During the audition, Dhadwal sang popular Bollywood songs - ‘Mere diwaanepan ki dawa nahin‘, ‘Kuch toh log kahenge‘ and ‘Hume aur jeene ki chahat na hoti‘. After doing stage shows in Mumbai, Chennai, Delhi, Jalandhar, Ludhiana and Dubai, Dhadwal wants to try out his voice in playback singing in Bollywood.

Dhadwal is a great fan of Sonu Nigam and credits his mother Sulochana Dhadwal as his “inspiration”.
