Himachal govt allows BEd in commerce

HimVani

Shimla: Himachal Pradesh University would start BEd courses in commerce and home science from the next academic year. However, no new colleges would be started for offering such courses, which means that already running colleges would be asked to accommodate the two subjects. This also means that the effective number of seats per subjects would decrease as the number of seats allowed for each subject by the National Council of Teacher Education have not been increased. Commerce graduates and postgraduates have been demanding BEd course in the state for a long time, arguing that almost all states have already been doing so.
