Himachal to conduct workshop on disabilities on March 10

    Shimla: The Himachal Pradesh Chapter of Society for Disability and Rehabilitation Studies (SDRS) is organising a State Level workshop on “Human Resource Development in Disability Sector” with the support of Rehabilitation Council of India at Shimla on March 10 here.

    V S Kokje, the governor of Himachal Pradesh will inaugurate the workshop which is to be presided over by H K Sharma, CMD of Satluj Jal Vidyut Nigam Ltd.  The special feature of the inaugural session will be the honour of ten blind and five mentally retarded children by the governor for their special achievements in the field of sports at national and international level.

    According to Ajai Srivastava, Chairman, SDRS. Himachal chapter, “it is a first workshop of its kind in the state.”

    Dr Hemlata, Sr Programme Officer, Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI), New Delhi and Sara Johnson, Chairperson RCI, Northern Zone will deliver special lectures. They will also interact with the participants who will come from the different districts of the state.
