Much awaited snow finally whitens Himachal

 People enjoying out in the snow on the Ridge, Shimla, February 11, 2007, as the Snow-God finally listened to the prayers of farmers and orchardists. While the higher regions of the state had received meagre snowfall earlier this winter, the state capital had missed its share. The fresh snowfall has brought back smiles on the faces of the farmers, while a drought situation had crept up in the state. Tourists too had eluded the hill-station this season. |
