Himachal tourism offers 30 percent discount for the disabled in its hotels

Shimla: Public sector state unit, Himachal Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation Limited(HPTDC) would commemorate the World Disability Day on December 3, 2010 by upholding its Corporate Social Responsibility(CSR) by offering a special package for disabled persons. Managing Director of HPTDC Vineet Kumar said that tourists who are disabled or are accompanied by their father, mother, son and daughter, having 40 percent or more disability shall be eligible for the package.

MD informed that 30 percent discount on room rent or stay for three nights and pay for two nights package would be available for disabled people in all HPTDC hotel units under this package. He further said that the guests shall have to pay rent and taxes for first two days and the third day would be treated as free one night stay gift form HPTDC. The package however shall not include boarding like food and beverages for which normal rates shall be charged. The package would commence from December 3 and will remain effective till December 20, 2010.
