Shimla: “Self employment is the only way to eradicate unemployment and there is no other field as exciting as tourism for entrepreneurs in Himachal Pradesh.” said Dr. Arun Kumar, Director Tourism, Himachal Pradesh here today. While addressing the participants in a workshop on “ Entrepreneurship Development Programme” organised at Centre Institute of Hotel Management (IHM) Kufri here today Mr. Sharma said that hospitality industry is a boon for entrepreneurs as it has enormous potential in the state. Dr. Arun Kumar emphasised on the need of identifying the scope of development of micro and small enterprises which will ultimately help in employment generation. The 11 day workshop is a step to encourage and facilitate the young entrepreneurs to start their own enterprises. Mr. CM Krishna, Project Director of PHD-KAS Project in India is a key faculty person for of this programme. He is having with him the enormous experience of working and heading the major industries and also of training working professional and students across India. Workshop was being organised by PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry in association with a German Foundation KAS (Konrad Adenauer Stiftung) and started yesterday.
