Chandigarh: After the success of ‘Solan job fair’, CII Himachal Pradesh Council in association with BBN Industries Association is once again organising two more job fests. The first one will be held in Mandi at the Municipal Committee hall on May 5 and 6, and the second one will be held in Dharamshala at the Prayas Bhawan on May 8 and 9.
CII has also decided to start a counseling centre at Mandi, which would cater to six districts of the state. The centre would conduct at least three workshops for final year college students each year to apprise them about various job opportunities and career options.
Earlier, in February a job and career fair was held in Sonal, which was attended by more than 4,500 job seekers. Around 700 offer letters were issued to successful candidates by various companies operating from Baddi, Barutiwala, Nalagarh, Parwanoo, and Kala Amb, including industrial giants like TVS Scooters, Johnson and Johnson, Vardhman, Winsom Textiles, Indo Farm Tractors, etc.
