HP govt increases stipend

Shimla: The Himachal Pradesh government today hiked the stipend of post-graduate students of government medical colleges in the state. Students of first year will now get a stipend of Rs 10,080, which is Rs 1,680 more than the existing amount.The second year students will get Rs 10,680 against Rs 8,900 at present and the third year students Rs 11,280 against Rs 9,400. The hike was announced after the week-long strike by resident doctors of Indira Gandhi Medical College.

  1. The students of Tanda Medical college behaved very unbecoming of a doctor. They have been quite a few instances of their misconducts with the public. Is it being considered when giving them scholarship?
