Rs 112 crore for road projects

Shimla: NABARD has sanctioned a sum of Rs 112.48 crore for completion of various road projects in Himachal under the RIDF programme. The work to be covered under the programme include 43 village roads, 11 bridges, 25 small irrigation projects, 14 water supply projects, three flood control projects and few water conservation schemes.
The total amount received by the state from NABARD this financial year has reached 1160.05 crore. Out of the recent sum sanctioned district Una will receive Rs 26.32 crore, Shimla Rs 19.05 crore, Sirmaur Rs 15.91 crore, Mandi Rs 14.02 crore, Kangra Rs 9.57 crore, Hamirpur Rs 6.55 crore, Bilaspur Rs 4.12 crore, Solan Rs 3.65 crore, Lahaul & Spiti Rs 3.10 crore and Chamba Rs 3.65 crore. Besides this, the Central government has also sanctioned Rs 139 crore under the PMGSY scheme.
