HDMA to organise pharmaceutical convention

Solan: After lifting of the excise duty from industrial package given to Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand, the Federation of Pharma Entrepreneurs (FOPE) and Himachal Drug Manufacturers Association (HDMA) are jointly organising a one-day Pharmaceutical Convention on May 28 at Victoria Continental Inn, Subathu Road, Dharampur.

A spokesperson for the convention said that Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal will be the chief guest on the occasion and state health minister Dr Rajeev Bindal will preside over the function. Dr SM Jharwal, chairman, NPPA, and Dr Surinder Singh, DCGI, besides Sushil Solanki, commissioner, Central Excise, and Navneet Marwah, drug controller, Himachal Pradesh, will also participate in the convention. Pharmaceutical unit owners will have an open house discussion with Dhumal and others and will raise various trade related issues like difficulties in front of local pharma industry, etc.
