SJVN forms JV for executing project in Manipur

Shimla: Public Sector blue chip company SJVNL added one more major project to its kitty as it inked a tri-party MOU with Manipur government and another state-owned public sector power giant, NHPC, in New Delhi yesterday to form a joint venture company for implementation of a 1,500 MW hydroelectric project in Manipur. According to the MoU, SJVN would have 26 per cent state while NHPC will have 69 per cent stake in the new company and the rest will be controlled by Manipur government. This would be the ninth hydel project of SJVNL, including three abroad.
