Just six day before the election counting of Himachal Pradesh district administration Shimla organised election counting rehearsal of Electronic Voting Machine and VVPAT at Bachat Bhavan Shimla. Returning Officer Ajeet Bhardwaj and Bhupinder Atri trained the poll counting staff for 63-Shimla Urban and 64-Shimla Rural in which 180 officials remained present.
Counting Supervisors, Counting Assistant, Micro Observers and other employees attending the counting rehearsal. ROs informed the staff that polling would begin at 0800 hrs on Dec 18 and postal ballet would be followed by the EVM counting. There would be 20 tables for the counting of Shimla and Shimla rural. He said that 11 tables would be set up for Shimla urban and nine for Shimla Rural.

Each counting centres would be works under the vigil of CCTV, Videography and Webcasting. The officials were training how to unseal the EVM, switched on and conduct counting. Other necessary directions would be given on this occasion to compete for the counting process according to the rule and procedure.
