HPCA to launch sports and sanitation awareness programme before Indo-SL ODI

    Before one-day International cricket match between India and Sri Lanka at Dharamshala HPCA stadium scheduled to be held on Dec 10, the state cricket bodies are gearing up to launch a joint drive to create awareness among the masses regarding sports and sanitation awareness to keep the Tibetan Dalai Lama abode city clean to host the event. In a press statement issued today HPCA spokesman Mohit Sood said that its Media Volunteer team comprising of 14 people from various cross sections and backgrounds would work for the Ind vs SL ODI match to be held on 10th fo Dec 2017.

    The volunteers are going to launch e awareness about the game, sports in general and swatch programme in particular. He said that schedule has been choked out for the next 4 days prior to the match as on Dec- 5 online photography contest to be held by the HPCA Dharamshala, in which picture of the stadium and about Cleanliness of town has been invited from the general public. All the photographs for the competition are being tagged with #DharamshalaODI for the competition on Facebook and Instagram.

    Four volunteers would hold a walking quiz moving around the town of Dharamshala and Mcleodganj and ask the random questions on Himachal to people around. The questions would be general knowledge related to Himachal. The winners will get free tickets. On 6th of Dec- HPCA would organize a cricket quiz between five teams, two participants in each team. The winning team would get four free tickets for the match. On 7th of Dec, we’ll showcase the culture, traditions, cuisines, clothing, tourist spots of Dharamshala in a short video that will be played on our social media channels for the benefit of the tourists visiting Dharamshala for the match.

    On 8th of Dec, the winners of the Photography Competition will be announced. There will be 3 winners in total for the two categories who will get 2 free tickets for the match. The winning photographs will be featured on our Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Facebook Page as well as on the Instagram handle. All the winners in the above competitions would get free tickets for the match and a chance to see their favourite players.
