State gives tribute to Ist PM of India

Himachal Pradesh gave tribute to 1st PM of India Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru on his 128th birth anniversary. The main function was held at Congress State headquarter Rajeev Bhawan where the party workers turned up in large number to offer floral tributes. Former MLA Mr.Harbhajan Singh Bhaji also administrated the oath of national integrity and unity to the people after giving tributes before the portrait of Nehru.

Mr. Harbhajan said on this occasion that the 1st PM of India Pt. Nehru gave his entire life for the betterment of this nation and he was called the founder of Modern India as he had set up a number of Science, Development and other Education institutes. He said that Pt. Nehru also left the indelible mark on the rest of world at the time when the entire world was divided into the two world powers. He became world statesman as he founded Panchshill Principle, which shows the path of peace and prosperity to the entire world. He also steered ahead of the poor and third world nations out of the bipolar world powers after forming of Non-alignment Movement.

Similar functions were also held at many places in the state and functions were also organised in the schools as the Children Day celebration.
