Assembly election bound Himachal Pradesh
HP is witnessing increase in the election tempo as parley for 13 legislative assembly election being set up with filling of nominations. The festival of Diwali, Apple Picking, Rations, Grass and fodder collections in the high places of state and Kharif harvesting and Ravi rearing kept the people hill state to delay the participation of people in the election process however Election Commission announced the date of election in the second week of Oct.
The election process could be the term in the first leg as the parley for the election is entered in the first phase after issuing of election Notifications on Oct 16 all political parties coming forward in declaring the candidates and filling the nominations in all the assembly segment. The festival of Diwali which is biggest festivals of lower Himachal Pradesh falls in line with Kharif harvest forced the people and political parties to show less keenness in the first two days of filing nominations however after October more than 150 candidates either filed papers or likely to file in in the coming two days left for the nominations.

On Oct 17,18 and 20 as many as 103 nominations papers were filed by the three political parties including Congress, BJP and CPI(M). Political Pundit says that 13 Assembly elections would be interesting as Election Commissions decided to not held the poll along with Gujarat after two terms. It was first time in the history of this state that after two days of filing nominations neither the ruling BJP not Congress could file any papers baring some party self style leaders as both parties announced their candidates on Oct 17 and Oct 18. It was on Oct 20 and 21 when most of candidates come out with party tickets to plunged into the the electoral battle as some were relying on the tickets of either side. BJP and Congress is trying to win-over the rebel of either parties to ensure their victory for the upcoming HP assembly election.
No political Parties could have come out with their Manifesto and as many as nine assembly segment is without Congress party ticket so far. Kin and Kiths which likely to be put in fray by the Congress and BJP stalwart is checked by the recent statement of Prime minister against ruling Congress for Development Versus Dynasty rule. Mr. Shanta Kumar, Mr. Dhumal and no major party leader was able to get ticket on the dynastic ground in the BJP expect Solan candidates Mr. Rajesh Kashyap who is younger brother of Lok Sabha incumbent member Mr. Varinder Kashyap.
However, a number of kith and kins of Congress leaders Vinod Sultanpuri from Arki, Mr. Adiya Vikarm Singh from Banjar for Congress and Mr. Yadvinder Goma from Jaisingpur and Mr. Sudhir Shamra form Dharamshala , Mr. Ram Kumar from Doon are either sitting MLA pitted by the Congress as the inheritors of their former father and forefathers. Congress could not declared party candidates from Theog, Shimla Rural, Nalagarh, Manali, Mandi, Shahpur and Palampur however most of them are the green horns and three of them the kith and kins of former members.The battle for the tickets or change the candidates in Congress and BJP is continue despite the two parties are facing the shortage of winnable candidates. Number of Rebel and potential candidates who are drooped by the two parties could dent the equations in each assembly segment.

There are certain BJP and Congress bastion which is likely to be wrestled by either party and the fight on such seats is more fierce and interesting. Prime Minister Narendra Modi which is likely to complete his visit in all the four assembly segment likely to visit Sujanpur in Hamirpur, Kangra and Sirmaur during the election canvasing.
As many as 20 to 25 assembly segment BJP and Congress likely to face tough challenges as fight are going to be triangular as Left, rebel and Independent candidates likely to defect votes from the both parties for the upcoming HP assembly election. Theog, Shimla, Shimla Rural, Sujanpur, Hamirpur, Dharmpour, Palampur,Ani, Kasumpti, Sarkaghat and Lahaul Spiti are some of assembly segment where the contest is already triangular moreover about 10 to 15 rebels are in the move to enter in the fray showing their discontentment on the both big parties to not give ticket to them. This hill state has about 50 lakh voters in 68 assembly segment goes to poll on November 9 next month. Counting of votes and election would be declared on Dec 18 after one and half month.
