HRTC gave benefits worth ₹609 crore to employees in last 4 years

    The Himachal Pradesh Road Transport Corporation (HRTC) bleeding with the accumulated loss worth Rs 700 crore has claimed to keep its bounty open for its striving working force after bestowing more than Rs 600 Crore during the last four years. Presiding over the Board of Directors meeting at Shimla today, Transport Minister Mr G.S. Bali said HRTC has given benefits of more than Rs 609 crore to employees and pensioners of HRTC during the last four years in the State.

    He said the corporation has released benefits of Rs 83.78 crore to the employees and pensioners for 2017-18. He said revenue of the corporation increased to 15 percent during last quarter and increase of Rs. 40 crore as compared to the corresponding period of previous year. Rs 10 crore will be released shortly for two months for benefits like Over time allowance and Traveling allowance, Medical Reimbursement, Gratuity and other benefits.

    Supply order for the purchase of 325 ordinary BS-IV Buses has been the issue, out of which 12 buses have reached the State. Technical staff will be allowed grade pay as per Govt. notification of Oct 1, 2012. HRTC Taxi Drivers will get Rs 750 per month as special pay. Forty posts of workshop staff will be filled up on Peace-Meal Basis.
