BSNL 4G to be launched in Baddi area – CGM

Braving the odds, the BSNL would make all efforts to provide uninteruptive and better facilities to the subscribers of the State and new 30000 landline connections will be added in State during the current fiscal year. This was stated by Mr. Ravi Kant, the new General Manager of HP telecom circle yesterday. Besides it will also give 31,000 broadband connections to the subscribers in the State.

 

He said that barring Baddi where BSNL will launch 4G services, rest of Himachal will be provided by 3G services. For this purpose in the current financial year 620 new BTS will be installed in entire State, out of which 305 will be 3G for data services and rest 2G for voice. He said that the main aim of the BSNL was to provide better and modern services to its consumers to compete with private companies.

 

Mr. Ravi Kant said that BSNL is working tirelessly to provide service in every nook and corner of the State. He said that all C-dot exchanges in state will be upgraded with (NGN) Next Generation Network systems in the current financial years. For this 20,000 ports had been sanctioned for Himachal Circle. The CGM said that for strengthening mobile and internet services in the circle, 100 off load and 134 USO Hot Spot’s will be installed in the State.
