The Himachal Pradesh Football Association (HPFA) has opened registrations of football clubs in Himachal Pradesh. Mr Deepak Sharma, General Secretary, HPFA informed that people interested in opening football clubs in Himachal Pradesh can apply to HPFA either for Amateur Club or for Professional Club. He also said that this initiative of HPFA is to ensure top quality professional football players are developed and produced continuously through these clubs by involving stake holders.

The registered football clubs will also establish progressive development structures with clear pathways and will design and implement quality-driven youth development programs for amateur players. These clubs will engage qualified personnel for development and management of footballers and club. This will further create employment and business opportunities for coaches, referees, match officials, physiotherapists, doctors, promoters, sponsors, investors and other people associated with the game of football.

Mr Sharma told that registration of Amateur and Professional Clubs will be open till June 30, 2017. Details regarding club registration criteria and application form can be downloaded from Club Registration Link on www.thehpfa.com official web-portal of Himachal Pradesh Football Association.
