Adopt economy measures for better financial management: Prof.R.S.Chauhan

The Himachal Pradesh University Vice-Chancellor Prof.R.S.Chauhan has stressed the need of strict economy management for better financial health of International Centre for Distance Education and Open Learning (ICDEOL), while interacting with the faculty members of the ICDEOL HP University today.

 

Prof. R.S.Chauhan said that ICDEOL is the premier institution of the Country imparting education through distance mode and it needs to introduce more academic, management, job oriented and vocational courses for the students. He said that the University has adopted some economy measures to squeeze the unnecessary expenditure on various items with the help of Information Communication Technology (I.C.T.) & Entrepreneur Resource Planning (E.R.P). The Vice-Chancellor called upon the faculty to strictly implement the punctuality & discipline in ICDEOL so that the students could get proper information, study material and feed back at the appropriate time.

 

The Director of ICDEOL Prof.P.K.Vaid presented the new proposals & progress in the near future for those students who do not have any reach of higher education at the far-flung, remote & tribal areas of the State. He assured the Vice-Chancellor to take the ICDEOL to the new heights by introducing market need courses from the forth-coming academic session. He apprised the Vice-Chancellor about the social activity through a blood donation camp organized very recently in the University. The Director also added that the cleanliness drive under ‘Swach Bharat Abhiyan’ would also be in the near future by the ICDEOL.
