HP keen to get State share in BBMB project : CM

    The Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh today said that the State was keen to get its 7.19 percent share in the BBMB as it was pursuing the issues effectively on various forum. Talking to media persons at Hamirpur Mr. Singh said that decision in November 2015 would protect the interest of the State as it would award 7.19  percent share in Bhakra Beas Management Board (BBMB) project to this hill state.

     

    Since long time state was seeking the its share in the project as it have effectively taken up this issue in recent North Zonal Council meeting held at Chandigarh. The CM added that state meeting was  called in pursuance of SC order asking the State to calculate area claims against the State of Punjab and Haryana. Responding to a query about ignoring of Hamirpur by the Congress rule as alleged by the opposition BJP Mr. Singh said that district was craved out from the hill state during the reorganization of Punjab by the party.

     

    He said that district have biggest water supply schemes in the state beside other development works. Congress had declared to open medical college in the district recently and those who speak of ignoring the district seemed to lost mental stability and looking for survival in their own party, he said. Clarifying the speculations of appointment of new HPCC Chief by the party six time chief minister said that no one is permanent.

     

    Taking a jibe he said that HPCC Chief or CM any one on high political post  could not remained forever He said that in democracy even sitting public representatives could be be removed. Regarding pattern of interviews in service  Selection Board he said that the dates have been extended till July 31st for those who have already appeared it was again fixed to  May 31st.

     

    Those appeared in 2015 including Junior Office assistant were given call for interview but later this interview was cancelled. Subordinate Service Selection Commission has sought time to clear the same. Two months extension have been given for conducting the Interviews and extended time by 31st july and further selection would be on merit after clearing the backlog by SSC Hamirpur, he added.
